We are delighted to host a Liberty Tree event for Comm Week 2010 entitled "Censorship At Every Turn." This event, sponsored by the Liberty Tree Initiative and Cal State Fullerton Communications Week, features a host of wonderful speakers who will address the issue of censorship from many different angles.

Our speakers come from a variety of media and education organizations. The goal of this event is to have robust, intelligent, and educational discussions about the different forms, both official and unofficial, that censorship takes and our need as a society to be vigilant against it.

We are proud to feature a showing of the award-winning documentary This Film Is Not Yet Rated and host the director and some of the participants as part of the afternoon session.

“Censorship reflects a society’s lack of confidence in itself. It is a hallmark of an authoritarian regime.”
